Documentation address is not the wire address
The Modbus request carries a zero-based 16-bit PDU address. Manuals often add a prefix that indicates the address space and present the first location as 1, 10001, 30001, or 40001.
Always keep the function code or address space beside the number. FC03 PDU 0 and FC04 PDU 0 are different locations even though both carry 0x0000 on the wire.
