01 / INSIDE BUSLOOM

The actual workbench, running a real project.

Four views from the same connected showcase project, captured directly from Busloom.

02 / CAPABILITIES

The everyday client workflow, covered end to end.

CONNECT

RTU, TCP, and TLS

Use commodity USB-RS485 adapters or standard Ethernet. Discover an unknown route, then keep serial framing, endpoints, retries, and TLS trust in a named profile.

  • Serial-port and Unit-ID discovery
  • TCP/TLS network discovery
  • Read-only operator guard
  • Automatic recovery
READ / WRITE

The Modbus operations you use every day

Read all four address spaces and write single or multiple coils and registers through one transport-neutral workflow.

  • FC01 / 02 / 03 / 04
  • FC05 / 06 / 15 / 16
  • Exact encoded write preview
  • Optional read-back
MAP / DECODE

Values that mean something

Turn raw words into engineering values while keeping the source bytes visible. Documentation and PDU addresses are always explicit.

  • Integers, floats, bits, ASCII
  • Byte and word order
  • Scaling, precision, units
  • Boolean and numeric labels
IMPORT

Vendor maps without retyping

Preview CSV, TSV, or XLSX register maps, resolve documentation notation, reuse mapping presets, and merge without silent deletion.

  • Conflict preview
  • Update or add-only merge
  • Portable import presets
  • Reusable device definitions
OBSERVE

Live views, Trends, and alarms

Run source views independently from the UI, watch related values together, and define runtime alarm conditions on decoded tags.

  • Native polling runtime
  • Quick and saved Trends
  • Alarm history and acknowledgement
  • Source health at a glance
DIAGNOSE

Protocol evidence, not guesses

Raw Traffic, Auto Scan, Protocol Diagnostics, Device Info, and Connection Health share the same real transaction stream.

  • FC08 / 11 / 12 / 17 / 22
  • Exact TX/RX frames
  • Latency and retries
  • Exceptions and malformed data
RECORD / REPLAY

Evidence you can hand over

Record finite sessions, export machine-readable data or a finished report, and reopen Trends or traffic captures without a device connection.

  • CSV, TSV, XLSX, JSON, JSONL
  • PNG and PDF trend reports
  • Session replay
  • Timeline scrub and speed control
PROJECTS

A device is more than a COM port

Projects keep profiles, source views, tags, Trends, automation, and display semantics in a readable file that works with normal Git.

  • Human-readable project file
  • Recovery drafts
  • Project-only Git commits
  • Portable team handoff
03 / DIAGNOSTICS

Decoded values and raw evidence belong together.

A suspicious number should lead directly to the request that produced it. Busloom attributes every transaction to its source view, scan, manual operation, or automation step.

  • Raw TrafficExact TX, RX, retry, error, and exception frames
  • Connection HealthLatency, throughput, utilization, and failure lifecycle
  • Auto ScanReadable ranges across every Modbus address space
  • Session replayReopen bounded traffic and Trend captures offline

04 / PROFESSIONAL AUTOMATION

When clicking once becomes clicking every day.

Promote a known-good manual workflow into a bounded scenario or sandboxed Lua script. Preview impact, run without writes, then reuse the same project in the desktop app, CLI, CI, or a local MCP client.

05 / BUILT FOR THE JOB

One tool across the device lifecycle.

COMMISSIONING

Walk up to an unknown device

Find the port and Unit ID, discover readable ranges, create views, label values, and leave with a reusable project.

FIRMWARE

Debug the protocol and the process

Keep decoded values beside exact frames, timings, retries, and exception responses while firmware changes underneath.

SUPPORT

Capture what actually happened

Record traffic and trends, export a bounded session, then replay the evidence without reconnecting to the customer's device.

REGRESSION

Turn a checkout into a repeatable test

Run guarded scenarios or Lua against RTU, TCP, or TLS and emit JSON, JUnit, or standalone HTML reports.

06 / WORKFLOW

From an unknown port to a reusable device project.

Busloom joins the tasks that are usually scattered across a poller, spreadsheet, terminal, traffic logger, and test script.

01

Find the device

Discover RTU participants or TCP/TLS endpoints, then keep the working route as a named profile.

02

Build the map

Scan readable addresses or import a reviewed device definition, then create sources and decoded tags.

03

Observe the behavior

Run live views, Trends and alarms beside exact traffic, health metrics and protocol diagnostics.

04

Keep the evidence

Save the project, record a session or export a report. Professional can turn the proven procedure into automation.

07 / WHY BUSLOOM

More than a reskinned register table.

The difference is not rounded corners. It is how protocol truth, engineering meaning, repeatability, and safety are connected.

PROJECT

One device story

Profiles, views, tags, Trends, alarms, presets and automation stay in one readable project.

EVIDENCE

Meaning beside proof

Decoded engineering values remain tied to source health, exact frames, recordings and reports.

DISCOVERY

Start without the map

Find RTU devices or TCP/TLS endpoints, then scan addresses or import a reviewed definition.

REPEAT

Reuse the proven work

Replay captured sessions or promote a manual procedure into guarded automation, CLI/CI or MCP.

Community

Free for non-commercial use

  • Complete manual RTU/TCP/TLS workflow
  • Projects, mapping, Trends, Raw Traffic, discovery
  • Recording, export, replay, updates, and support

Paid licenses are permanent, device-bound, and verified offline. Every plan receives the same updates and support.

09 / QUESTIONS

The important details.

Does Busloom require special hardware?+

No. It works with commodity USB-RS485 adapters for RTU and normal network interfaces for TCP or Modbus/TCP Security.

Can I still see the raw protocol?+

Always. Decoding adds context; it never replaces protocol addresses, function codes, TX/RX bytes, timings, exceptions, or errors.

Is Community a crippled demo?+

No. Community contains the complete manual Modbus client, diagnostics, projects, imports, Trends, recording, and session replay. It is licensed for non-commercial use.

Does a licensed machine need internet access?+

No. Paid licenses are permanent device-bound certificates verified locally. There is no heartbeat, subscription expiry, or customer-hosted license server.

Which platforms are targeted?+

Windows, macOS, and Linux on x86_64, with ARM64 kept feasible. The first public release still requires final cross-platform packaging validation.
