Terms of Use

1. Who provides Busloom

Busloom is provided by Prism Sebastian Szczepański, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland, NIP 9271980179, REGON 545531735 (“Busloom”, “we”). Contact: support@busloom.com.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the Busloom desktop application, command-line tools, busloom.com, My Busloom and related license services. They do not replace the documentation or the terms of third-party hardware, operating systems, networks or services used with Busloom.

3. Accounts

My Busloom uses passwordless email verification. You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity performed through your session. Do not share activation codes or attempt to access another person’s account or licenses. Tell us promptly if you believe an account or activation has been used without authorization.

4. Community license

Community may be used free of charge only for private, non-commercial purposes: personal learning, hobby projects and your own non-commercial laboratory work. Work for an employer, customer, business, paid project, commissioning engagement or professional service is commercial use and requires Professional.

Community includes the manual Modbus workflow, projects, tags, views, diagnostics, Trends, recording, Replay, updates and the ordinary support channel. It does not include Professional-only automation and workflow entitlements.

5. Seven-day Professional trial

An eligible device may start one seven-day trial. The trial begins only after the user chooses to start it. It enables Professional workflows for evaluation and testing, but does not grant a production commercial-use license. The trial cannot be restarted after expiry on the same installation. Saved projects remain readable after the trial; Professional operations become unavailable until a license is activated.

6. Professional license

Professional grants commercial-use rights and the Professional feature set for one permanently activated device. Each purchase is tracked separately. Activating a device assigns that license to the device. There is no self-service release; legitimate hardware replacement is handled through support. The signed device certificate works offline without a heartbeat or subscription expiry.

Professional does not transfer ownership of Busloom, its source code, branding or signing infrastructure. You may not bypass license controls, forge or modify a license artifact, resell a license without written permission, or use one device license on several devices.

7. Safe and lawful use

Busloom can send writes to industrial equipment. You are responsible for authorization, physical safety, backups, process interlocks, connection settings, register maps and the consequences of commands sent to a device. Use read-only profiles, dry runs and independent safety controls where appropriate. Do not use Busloom to access equipment or data without permission, disrupt systems, introduce malicious code, or violate applicable law.

8. Updates and availability

Community and Professional receive the same released updates and support channel. Update checks may contact the public release feed when enabled; installation remains an explicit user action. We may change or discontinue pre-release features. We will not deliberately revoke a valid permanent license merely because a newer version exists.

9. Intellectual property and feedback

Busloom and its original materials remain the property of Prism Sebastian Szczepański or their respective licensors. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses. You may send feedback voluntarily; we may use it to improve Busloom without an obligation to compensate you, while your confidential information remains yours.

10. Warranty and liability

Busloom is provided with the care reasonably expected of software intended for engineering work, but no software can prove that a connected device, register map or process is safe or correct. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost production, lost profit, loss of data or damage caused by unauthorized, incorrectly configured or unsafe device operation. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using Busloom at any time. We may suspend an account or online service when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risk or a material breach. Suspension of an online account does not silently erase a valid offline device certificate, except where the certificate itself was forged or unlawfully obtained.

12. Governing law and changes

Polish law applies, without removing mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. Courts are determined by applicable law. If we materially change these terms, a future application version may require acceptance of a new numbered version before continued use.
