MACOS DOWNLOAD & INSTALLATION

Download Busloom for macOS

Download one Universal DMG for Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Install Busloom in Applications, then open the desktop app to create a project or continue with an existing one.

01

One Universal DMG for both Mac architectures

The macOS download contains native arm64 and x86_64 builds. Use the same DMG on an Apple silicon Mac or an Intel Mac; there is no separate architecture selector.

02

Install from the disk image

Open the downloaded DMG and drag Busloom into Applications. After copying finishes, eject the disk image and launch Busloom from Applications.

Keep the installed application in Applications rather than launching the copy inside the mounted DMG. If you are replacing an existing copy, quit Busloom before completing the replacement.

03

Prepare a serial adapter for first use

Connect your USB–RS485 adapter and install its manufacturer's macOS driver if the adapter requires one. Check that a serial device appears before creating an RTU connection profile.

When opening a project from another computer, select this Mac's serial device path. For a TCP connection, check that the configured host is reachable from the Mac's network.

QUESTIONS

Before you install.

Is Rosetta required on Apple silicon?+

No. The Universal DMG includes a native arm64 build.

Do I need a separate download for an Intel Mac?+

No. The same Universal DMG includes the native Intel x86_64 build.

Why does my USB adapter not appear?+

Check the cable and the adapter manufacturer's macOS driver requirements. The adapter must expose a serial device before Busloom can open it.
