MODBUS ON macOS

A native desktop Modbus workflow for macOS

Busloom ships as a universal macOS application for Intel and Apple Silicon. The desktop UI, project files, CLI, and protocol behavior match the Windows and Linux editions, so a bench setup does not become a platform-specific document.

01

RTU without vendor-specific hardware

Connect a normal USB–RS485 adapter, select the serial port, and configure baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits, and Unit ID. Busloom can discover serial ports and probe Unit IDs before you scan addresses.

  • Universal Intel/Apple Silicon package
  • Commodity serial adapters
  • Named RTU, TCP, and TLS profiles
  • Signed in-app update manifests
02

Keep the register map portable

The project is JSON and can be shared with Windows or Linux users. Relative certificate paths resolve from the saved project directory; machine-local trust pins and license state stay on the Mac.

03

Use the GUI or CLI

The desktop application is the main workbench. Professional also includes a CLI for running saved scenarios, exporting reports, and inspecting or installing an offline device license on machines without an interactive workflow.
